Rich Fanelli

President : Richard Fanelli, AIA, CFM, IFMA Fellow
Rich Fanelli, a registered architect, has been in the commercial design profession since 1977. Working as an architect and designer for both local and national design firms in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. he founded Fanelli McClain Design Studios in 1985. Rich has always stayed ahead of trends in the workplace through his involvement as an active member of the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), where he has served as a board member for the Capital Chapter of IFMA from 1984 to 2002. He became President of the Chapter 2001/2002 and served on the IFMA International board of directors in 2004 and 2005. Rich is the co-author of the IFMA Planning & Project Management certificate course and has been teaching that course for IFMA since 1993. Rich has also presented various topics on workplace design to IFMA’s World Workplace Conferences on three occasions. He has been a contributing author of four facilities management textbooks published by The Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI). He serves as an instructor for the Facility Management Certificate Program at George Mason University where he teaches the Facility Planning & Design, Project Management and Communications courses. Rich has been a columnist for the Washington Business Journal where he has written articles on Project Management and Workplace Design. He was elected as an IFMA Fellow at World Workplace in 2002. Rich’s voice can be heard as the voice-over for IFMA’s Planning and Project Management, Operations & Maintenance and Business of FM on-line courses.

 

 

Tim O'Malley

 

President Elect : Tim O’Malley  
Tim O’Malley, CFM, CFMJ, CPSI is Senior Project Manager for THE O’MALLEY GROUP, L.L.C. which is a consulting firm for K-12 school districts, non-profits and some private organizations. He has been involved in facilities and construction for over forty-seven years in the southwestern United States. Tim graduated from Arizona State University with a double degree in Secondary Education and Business.  He has a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.  He is a Certified Facility Manager and Certified Playground Safety Inspector.  He has been an instructor for IFMA and currently teaches a four-day class in Maintenance and Operations for the Arizona Association of School Business Officials.  For IFMA he served as president of both the Sports and Recreation Council and Religious council.  He is very active in the Greater Phoenix IFMA Chapter holding various officer positions including president.  Tim has presented across North America on school design in the future.  He frequently contributes at IFMA Best Practices Forum and is a contributor of a variety of publications.

 

 

 

Barbara Jo Kane

1st Vice President : Babara Jo Kane-Stokes, CFM
Barbara started Kane Consulting, a real estate and facilities management solutions company, in January 2001.  Barbara’s expertise is working with tenants and or tenant owned buildings in the areas of leasing, subleasing, facilities-construction project management, move management, facility service contracts and establishing security systems and other like services.  Barbara assists her clients in obtaining LEED certification points for their buildings and recommending “Green” facility service vendors to maintain corporate facilities.   In the fifteen years prior to starting her own firm, Barbara has held executive management positions in the areas of real estate and facilities management for Health Net, Fremont General Corporation and Candle Corporation.  She also worked for CB Richard Ellis supporting the Bank of America where she was a Sr. Project Manager managing 800 bank construction projects with a staff of 8 project managers.  Barbara is a Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) and a licensed Real Estate broker in the State of California. She has been a speaker for the American Management Association and IFMA. She was on the International Board of Directors of IFMA as well as President of the San Fernando Chapter and President of the Los Angelese Chapter of IFMA.

 

2nd Vice President : Anita Ciminesi, FMP 

Anita is a Facility Management Consultant with over fifteen (15) years of experience in the facility management profession. She is Co-partner of CFM2, a facility management/sustainability consultant firm. The expertise and experience that Anita has acquired over the years has enabled her to recognize and choose the right solutions for CFM2's customer's needs. Her management skills and detailed oriented approach to projects combined with her ability to develop policies and procedures for facility organizations has proven to be effective in providing increased productivity, contributing directly to a business's bottom line.Anita’s educational pursuits have included: completing the certificate program in Facility Design and Management at the University of California, Irvine; The Management and Supervisory certificate program at California State University, Long Beach; and Business Management courses at the University of Phoenix. She has been trained on LEED guidelines; ISO Procedures and auditing; CAFM systems; Disaster Preparedness and Recovery; and Air Quality Management Programs. Anita co-chaired the Orange County of IFMA Chapter Communications Committee, the Chapter CFM Study committee and the International Awards Committee, served four years on their Executive Board of Directors and is a Past President of the Chapter. She was recognized for the President's Award from the Orange County Chapter in 2004 and she was recognized as IFMA's Distinguished Member of the Year in 2004. Anita has served as Publisher/Editor of the Newsletter, Web Site and Resource Directory Administrator for the Facility Management Consultants Council and has served four years on the FMCC Executive Board of Directors.

 

 

Secretary: John Ringness

John Ringness is a highly effective facilities management professional with a proven record of positive change and success. For the past 30 years John has held various leadership positions for global companies both in the profit and not-for profit service sectors; most recently as the Chief Facilities Officer for one of the world's largest integrated resort municipality development project (15,000 acres) located in Asia and valued at over $2Billion U.S. dollars. John has a single focus: to assist companies in reaching their strategic objectives by multiplying the potential of existing assets (human, physical, and financial) and driving measurable, sustainable results. John is a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), a member of IFMA's Consultants Council and has the pleasure of serving on Facility Management Consultants Council’s Leadership team. John has also completed the Facility Management program at the University of Toronto. John Ringness is currently the President & CEO of NEXT Facility Management Services which provides international consulting services and speaking engagements based out of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

 

 

 

Treasurer: Sue Rosipayla, CFM
Suzanne Rosipayla has been in the Facilities /Project Management field sinse 1983 developing her experience with organizations such as Preferred Care (New York), Aquirre Corporation (contracted at ICG Communications) and corporate Transitions (Denver working on projects that require the expertise to complete a project from the ground breaking until the move in date. She serves on the Denver Chapter Board as Secretary. She also serves as the Membership Chairperson for the IFMA FM Consultants Council.

Kit Tuveson

Immediate President: Kit Tuveson, CFM, IFMA Fellow 
Kit Tuveson is President of Tuveson & Associates, LLC, a Facility Management consultancy company.  His 36-year Hewlett-Packard career included responsible positions in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Line Management, Facilities Management and Environmental Health & Safety.  He has managed facilities teams, global program managers, cross functional teams, and served as Global Director Facility Management Operations and also Global Director of Environmental Health & Safety.  He is a graduate of Stanford University with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering.  He is a Certified Facility Manager; was IFMA’s Board Chairman (1997-1998) where he instituted their formal Association Strategic Planning process, and is President of the FM Consultant’s Council of IFMA.  Kit’s consulting assignments include:  Advising SynapSense Corporation (Wireless Sensor Monitoring technology and solutions) - a high-tech start-up company - on FM strategy and implementation; developed and instructed IFMA’s new Sustainable FM course; revised the IFMA CFM exam review course; developed a new California State University Sacramento Certificate Program on Greening Your Business and Sustainable FM; lectured at Hong Kong Polytechnic University; Facility Management organizational re-design at Vision Service Plan.

Bill Conley

IFMA HQ Board of Directors: Bill Conley, CFM, CFMJ, LEED AP, IFMA Fellow
Bill Conley, CFM, CFMJ, LEED AP, IFMA Fellow has over thirty (30) years of experience in the facility management profession. He is Co-partner of Ciminesi, Conley Facility Management, LLC (CFM2). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts/Boston. He has completed the Certificate Program in Facility Design and Management from UCI, as well as his Masters Certificate in the same discipline from Michigan State University. He has taken MBA/TM courses at the University of Phoenix and the Management and Supervisory Certificate Program at CSULB. Other training includes Quality Management, Statistical Control, and ISO Procedures. Bill is Immediate Past President of the Orange County Chapter of IFMA. He has served four years on that Executive Board of Directors. He has co-chaired the Communications Committee as well as the International Awards Committee. He was recognized as IFMA's Distinguished Member of the Year in 2003 and won IFMA’s Distinguished Author Award in 2000.  Bill is Co-Publisher/Editor of the FMCC Newsletter.

Bill has recently been appointed to the IFMA Board of Directors, July 1, 2009.

 

 

Committee Chair: Mike Liddle, CFM

Mike Liddle is a highly experienced Facility Professional who has successfully run a number of businesses, both private and public. His experience includes the control and co-ordination of multi-million pound projects involving all aspects of FM, Real Estate, design and construction of facilities in the UK and in EMEA. In the last few years he has specialised in large scale outsource programmes on an EMEA basis for companies such as AstraZeneca, Microsoft, Imation, Telefonica and Oracle. He also specialised in PFI or PPP projects and in particular he has considerable knowledge of the practicalities of outsourcing support services, the restructuring of facilities operations and the management of the change process. Mike is running Business & Facilities an independent Real Estate and Facility Management consultancy business operating in EMEA. Business & Facilities is part the of the Corporate FM Alliance which is a partnership set up to service and deliver Real Estate and Facility Management solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It is International and Strategic management with local delivery and execution.He served as President of IFMA UK (International Facility Management Association), President of European IFMA, is on the board the IFMA Consultants Council globally and was on the founding Board of the BIFM International Special Interest Group. Mike is also a regular speaker and chairperson on the International conference circuit.

 

Barbara Jo Kane

Committee Chair: Mark Sekula, CFM, LEED AP

Mark Sekula, CFM, LEED-AP, is Senior Facility Management Consultant at Facility Engineering Associates (FEA). With more than 30 years of facility management experience, he has also served as a facilities management professional in the manufacturing, healthcare and technology industries. For the past 12 years as an FM consultant, he has provided guidance, expertise and project management to clients in helping them develop strategies for the future of their real estate assets, physical workplaces, facility management organizational development and sustainability. A Certified Facility Manager since 1993, Mark has served in Leadership roles with IFMA at the chapter, council and national levels for over 15 years. He is founder and past president of the Facility Management Consultants council and currently serves as a director on the IFMA International Board of Directors. He co-chairs of IFMA’s Strategic Facility Planning task force, Knowledge Center task force and is a member of IFMA’s International Task Force on Products and Services. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning and a certificate from the Kellogg Management Institute at Northwestern University.

 

 

 

COLLINS OSAYAMWEN, MBIFM (GLOBAL LIAISON - Africa)

Collins Osayamwen MBIFM, is an Estate Surveyor & Valuer and a facility management consultant with over 15 years experience in the facility management profession. He is the Managing Partner / Senior Consultant of SheltercareFM Consult based in Nigeria. He is also a founding partner of the Corporate FM Alliance – a group of international companies working together on a regular basis to provide FM and Real Estate services on a pan European basis.

Collins is stickler for excellence; he is championing the course to institutionalise the FM industry in Nigeria. He served in the strategic planning committee of the proposed IFMA Abuja Chapter. He is actively involved in organising and hosting seminars / workshops aimed at promoting knowledge, best practise and development of the Facilities Management industry in Nigeria and the Africa continent. Collins is a specialist in CAFM software solutions and implementation for clients and FM service providers.

 

JOACHIM W. HOHMANN (GLOBAL LIAISON - Central Europe)

Joachim W. Hohmann, CFM, PhD is a Professor at the Technical University Kaiserslautern, Germany teaching Facility Management. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University Darmstadt, and a Master Degree in Computer Science from The University Karlsruhe. As a co-founder and CEO of Consultants Circle, he provides consulting in facility management technology to major European companies and federal agencies, state and local governments. He is a chartered surveyor of the European Patent Office and author of books and articles on IT in Facility and Real Estate Management. Joachim has been a member of the former German chapter of IFMA since 1997 and served as its outsourcing committee chair. He earned his CFM designation in 2002. Joachim represents Germany in IFMA’s European Strategy Task Force and is a founding program committee member of the European Facility Management Conference & Exhibition. Joachim is an active member of the FMCC since 2004 and serves as its global liaison for Central Europe.
